in Davis.

Since moving to Davis, I've been an emotional pendulum swinging back and forth from one end of marital bliss to the other end of feeling lonely in this new town without my friends and family.  Needless to say..I'm seeking some balance.  Which concludes to the necessary shout out to my husband, Amos, for dealing with my mess of a heart.

One thing I am extremely thankful for is for the opportunities that have risen for me to invest in creative ventures including opening shop at the monthly flea market and creating prints to support a friend's upcoming 6 month mission trip to Cambodia.  I'm not sure if I stayed in SoCal, that I would have had the same types of opportunities but one thing is for sure--the support of the community here has been amazing.  The people who are a part of our ministry at Davis Korean Church, especially the college ministry(Mustard Seed Ministry) are always so encouraging and supportive as they come out with bright smiles to the flea market and buy prints with bouquets despite their student loans.

In addition to that, there are many talented photographers here who take photos for me!
My first flea market in March was photographed by Bob and Eric who graciously took time out of their busy schedule and provided me with beautiful photos to keep in my portfolio.
I'm excited to share them with you today!

Thanks Eric! :

and thanks Bob! :

post wedding post

Today I was reminded of the journey Amos and I have been on so far.
Its been 5 months since we got married and while the wedding was not perfect and neither is our marriage, we are constantly learning, being reminded of grace, forgiveness, and what it means to truly love each other.

The entire wedding minus dinner was DIY and I wanted to make something special to remember the engagement period so I made a save the date video that I will share today.  Cheers to 5 months with the love of my life <3

Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring twopence how often it has been told before) you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it.

Asia 2012

James left for his annual Asia trip yesterday.  Sad to say but I was not able to join him this year.  Before he left he finally had a chance to edit our Asia trip from last year! So, while J.lo is in Asia drinking warm soy milk, slurping on delicious beef noodle soup, and roaming the night markets I have this video... you are more than welcome to join me dreaming of being in Asia.

I never imagined I would have a video to document this most special occasion.
but for some reason, I am so beyond blessed to have these spectacular people in my life who have shown me love to the yonder galaxies and back.
you guys are the best!

A little background:
My sister and I were supposed to be taking photos for her jewelry and JLo was going to take the photos for us.  Little did I know... oh, how little did I know. I met my sister at her place and then we drove a few blocks down to our location (long live bookstores!) and this happened:
(feel free to watch it in HD. just gotta click on that wheel thing and change the quality)

 watch me!

A. wrote me a book with the pages hidden amongst the books in the store.  There were riddles on the back as to where the next page was.  Then the tear gates were opened.

It was perfect.
Thank you thank you thank you.
